Why it matters

Why a manufacturer schedule?

Some cars do not fit a package. A car under manufacturer warranty, a prestige model with its own fixed schedule, or something we also tune, needs the work the manufacturer specifies at that exact mileage – not the nearest tier. We look up the schedule for your registration, tell you what falls due, and quote it item by item so you can see what you are paying for.

Because we write engine software for these cars, the diagnostic side goes further than a code read – we can data-log a running fault rather than guess at it.

Intervals

When your car is actually due

The interval above is the rule of thumb. Your car’s own schedule comes first, and they vary more than people expect – an Abarth 595 is on a different plan to a Golf, and a long-life schedule on a diesel can run to 18,000 miles while the same engine on a fixed plan wants doing at 10,000. Manufacturers also count time as well as mileage, so a low-mileage car still falls due each year.

Rather than guess, give us the registration and we will look up the schedule for your exact model and tell you what falls due next – including whether the Platinum service is the right one, or whether you need less than you thought. We will say so if it is less.

Every level includes our 85-point inspection, whichever you book – the checks are the same, only the parts replaced change. See what the 85 checks cover →

On the day

What actually happens

Drop the car with us and we will work through the platinum schedule and the inspection. If we find something – a tyre near the limit, a weeping shock, a bush on its way out – you get a photo and a price, and we wait for you to say yes or no. Nothing extra gets done on assumption, and nothing gets added to the bill you have not agreed.

We use Liqui Moly oils and manufacturer-specification filters, and the service record is stamped or the digital record updated before the car goes back to you, so the history stands up at resale or on a warranty claim.

Common questions

Will this keep my manufacturer warranty valid?
Yes. Block exemption rules mean any qualified garage can service a car under warranty, provided the correct schedule, parts and fluids are used and the work is recorded. We follow the schedule, use manufacturer-specification oils and stamp the book or update the digital record.
Is the price fixed?
It is a guide price. Cars needing specialist or large-capacity oil carry a surcharge, so we confirm the exact figure from your registration before you commit. If we find anything on the Platinum service that needs attention, we photograph it and price it for you to approve – we never just do the work.
How long will my car be with you?
Most services are a same-day job. Tell us when you need it back and we will be straight with you about whether that is realistic.
Can you do an MOT at the same time?
Yes – we can arrange an MOT alongside the service so the car is only off the road once. Mention it when you enquire.
