Here at JF Automotive, you have the option to add a vehicle warranty package with every purchase made with us.

This is all entirely flexible meaning you get to choose exactly what kind of cover best suits your needs.

WARRANTY PACKAGES...

Parts that are covered include: engine, electrical system, transmission/drivetrain, braking, steering and fuel system, suspension and engine cooling system. Additionally, air-conditioning, in-car entertainment, the satellite navigation and driver interface system, hybrid batteries and many more important and expensive components.

Premium

We have you covered with our mechanical and electrical component Premium cover

All mechanical and electrical cover.
Satellite navigation systems, up to 50% of your specified repair request limit, to a maximum of £500.
Driver interface systems, up to 50% of your specified repair request limit, to a maximum of £1000.
Wheel bearing, intake manifold and coil spring cover on vehicles up to 6 years old, or 70,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
Unlimited mileage once cover has started.
Transferable to a new owner, if sold privately.

In-car entertainment cover, up to 50% of your specified repair request limit, to a maximum of £500.
Hybrid battery cover, up to 50% of your specified repair request limit, to a maximum of £1000
Diagnostics contribution up to £65 inc VAT.

Premium - With Roadside Assistance

We have you covered with our all mechanical and electrical component Premium service contract. Also including European Roadside Assistance & Recovery, this fully comprehensive cover offers protection for any eventuality.

Hybrid battery cover, up to 50% of your specified repair request limit, to a maximum of £1000.
Diagnostics contribution up to £100 inc VAT.

Catalytic converter, diesel particulate filters and EGR valves covered for mechanical failure.
Unlimited mileage once cover has started.
Transferable to a new owner, if sold privately.

Full European Roadside Assistance recovery including UK homestart, misfuelling and key protection.
Satellite navigation systems, up to your specified repair request limit.

Does a tune void your warranty?

We get this question for customers multiple times a day and the answer is… No… It shouldn’t. Stage 1 tuning is works on all the standard component software in a car, without stressing them higher than they could handle, for example. when we increase boost pressure, we refer to the turbo manufactures specification. Therefore there is no unnecessary stress on the turbo which could cause a failure.

The issue can occur however that some manufactures will try to void your warranty simply because it’s tuned without knowing why the component has failed. It’s their duty to provide evidence on how the part failed, how it occurred and how it related to the tune. They can’t just legally dismiss it.

You will often see it said that Block Exemption makes it illegal for a manufacturer to void a warranty over a modification. That is an overstatement. Block Exemption is competition law about agreements between businesses. It stops a manufacturer insisting on main dealer servicing or its own branded parts, but it does not stop them declining a claim on a part your modification damaged. This also covers vehicle tuning and engine remapping as long as the failure was not as a result of the remap. We have a strong reliability record and we tune within the limits of the components on the car. We hold liability insurance with Aviva covering our work. That covers our workmanship. It is not a substitute for a manufacturer warranty and it does not underwrite a manufacturer’s decision on a claim.
